I am interested in documenting the everyday and capturing the unending well of joy in the world. I love connection, self-discovery and the transformative effect of nature. These themes play out in my work and what I am drawn to photograph.

A long long time ago (in a galaxy far away) I studied mathematics and policy analysis. My love of logic and reason play out in in my photography through clean lines and framing. I love current events and complex problems. I think people are the most complex and unsolvable of all. They are deep and varied with rich stories lurking below the surface.

I read like a fiend (but can no longer keep up with my kids' book consumption). At various times in the last decade I have homeschooled my four kids, tore apart and remodeled my home and traveled around the US with all four kids, husband and roof box in tow.
